We're doing something a little different for TBD this month. Our friends at USC's School of Journalism and Mass Communications and AAF are having an event and they've invited AIGA to join them.

Come and enjoy drinks and networking in this joint event to hear from Leslie Smolan (Founding Partner), and Dave Mower (Executive Director of Strategy) from the Carbone Smolan Agency.

In 2014, Leslie Smolan, along with Kenneth Carbone, was awarded the AIGA Medal, the highest honor a designer can receive from AIGA. This medal is awarded annually to individuals in honor of their exceptional achievements, services, or other contributions in our design and visual communication industry.

Recognized for demonstrating across decades the power of beautiful and well-reasoned design principles in corporate identity, communication, publishing and strategy to designers, business and the public.

In April 2014, Leslie and Kenneth were presented with their awards at “The AIGA Centennial Gala” in New York City. This video premiered at the event to honor the two receipents.
