Steven is an award-winning Art Director and Illustrator from Irmo, South Carolina. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Steven returned to South Carolina, freelancing and designing for broadcast and web at Mad Monkey. He started at the library in 2013, where he loves working with dedicated people on community-focused projects daily.

Sara Thomas, the owner of The Half and Half.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2007, Sara Thomas decided to follow her dreams of having a design studio with an emphasis on printmaking. The Half and Half was established that year and has grown to a team of 9 people. They have done work for a variety of clients including Dave Matthews Band, Columbia Museum of Art, Fujifilm, Barack Obama, Phish, and Live Nation
Brynley Farr
Brynley Farr, Owner of the ByFarr Design Studio
Brynley’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to create her own business, ByFarr Design Studio, where she is the owner and creative director. She works with a creative, 7 person team to produce incredible design, letterpress printing and marketing which includes Fig Columbia, South Carolina, an all-local magazine that encompasses her love for Columbia. Outside of work, Brynley loves to spend her days on the water with her husband and three boys—whether it’s sailing and kayaking around Lake Murray, or wake surfing.
Spencer Hanes
Spencer Hanes, an account executive with
RR Donnelly, has a 10 Year proven track record of helping designers bring their ideas to life for Print, and Packaging products. He brings knowledge of print substrates and technical expertise to help customers of all sizes realize their goals.
